Article 13(5) In every text (Article 13(5))
When the further processing takes place for scientific research purposes by the same controller and where and insofar as the provision of information referred to under paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 proves impossible or would involve a disproportionate effort or in so far as the obligation referred to in paragraph 1 of this Article is likely to render impossible or seriously impair the achievement of the objectives of that further processing, subject to the conditions and safeguards referred to in Article 89(1), the controller does not need to provide the information referred to under paragraphs 1, 2 and 3. In such cases the controller shall take appropriate measures to protect the data subject's rights and freedoms and legitimate interests, including making the information publicly available.
