11a. In Article 58, the following paragraph is added:
The supervisory authorities’ investigative and corrective powers set out in Article 58(1) and (2) shall apply mutatis mutandis to providers of software to access online interfaces in the context of Article 88b even when they are not processing personal data.’
Justification
Supervision of DPAs is extended to providers (e.g. browsers) when implementing automated signal for consumer choices.
