1a.Moreover, in order to monitor the implementation of this Regulation and to identify best practices, the Commission shall put in place a system for the voluntary registration of providers of data processing services which: (a) apply state-of-the-art pseudonymisation techniques to the data they process; (b) process high-value datasets or protected data as trade secrets; (c) are exposed to risks of extraterritorial interference, including the unilateral suspension of services, the forced transfer of data or unauthorised access by third-country authorities; (d) process sensitive data on the basis of a legitimate interest for the purposes of scientific research and developing innovative solutions and processes.
