Article 32o: Text of the article
Added by the Commission · dropped by the Council on 10 June
Wording moved Article 32la in the Council texts of 10 June, 18 June and 3 September 2026 takes this wording, merged with Article 32ab, with changes.
- (1) becomes 1.
- (2) becomes 2.merged with Article 32ab(1) and (2)
- (3) becomes 3.
- (4): not carried overno paragraph of its own; the same review by an impartial body is part of Article 32ab(3), now paragraph 4
- (5): not carried overdoes not recur in Article 32la
- (6) becomes 5.
How the wording moved
A merge with changes. Paragraphs (1), (3) and (6) of Article 32o become paragraphs 1, 3 and 5 of Article 32la. Paragraph 1 now reads ‘the data or document’ for ‘the document’, and paragraph 3 drops from its first sentence the listed grounds in Articles 32i and 32n and adds the competent body in its second. Paragraph (2) merges with Article 32ab(1) and (2) into paragraph 2, which sets new time limits: in principle 20 working days, at most two months for particularly complex requests and three months for requests relating to protected data. Paragraph (4) has no paragraph of its own, because the same review by an impartial body is part of Article 32ab(3), now paragraph 4. Paragraph (5), on practical arrangements, does not recur in Article 32la.
