"Confidentiality of electronic communications UnionElectronic institutions and bodiescommunications shall ensurebe theconfidential. confidentialityAny interference with electronic communications, such as listening, tapping, storing, monitoring, scanning or other types of interception, surveillance, or any processing of electronic communications, in particular by securingpersons theirother than the user using the terminal equipment, shall be prohibited. Confidentiality of electronic communications networksshall also apply to data related to or processed by the terminal equipment."
