The simplification measures introduced by this Regulation should not result in a reduction of the level of protection for data subjects, users and consumers guaranteed under Regulations (EU) 2016/679 and (EU) 2023/2854, nor weaken safeguards ensuring fair competition, data portability, transparency and user control. This Regulation should not affect the application of the rules on competition, and in particular Articles 101 and 102 TFEU. The measures provided for in this Regulation should not be used to restrict competition in a manner contrary to the TFEU.
