The term 'national entry point' should be understood as a national infrastructure or arrangement, which may take the form of a digital interface, platform or technical interoperability hub, established and maintained by the Member State, enabling entities to fulfil their incident notification obligations across multiple regulatory frameworks through a single notification at national level which will reach all competent authorities. Member States should retain flexibility to configure such infrastructure or arrangement in accordance with their specific needs, notably their national infrastructures and the allocation of competences among authorities, including by connecting existing systems and enabling the sharing, routing or distribution of relevant information where needed. The creation of the national entry point does not necessarily interfere with the allocation of functions among competent authorities within each national system.
